A woman in her 80s has been airlifted to John Hunter Hospital in a serious condition following a horse and cart accident at Putty yesterday.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance to the scene about 2.40pm on Wednesday, 19 August. The woman, who was thrown from the cart during the accident, was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics and the helicopter’s critical care medical team for multiple injuries, before being airlifted to John Hunter Hospital.
She remains in a serious condition.
