More than 3,000 homes and businesses in Aberdeen, Murrurundi and Scone are now eligible to upgrade from legacy copper-based nbn technology to nbn Fibre to the Premises, with more than 400 already enjoying the benefits.
Fibre is the nbn’s fastest residential technology, supporting wholesale download speeds of up to 2,000 megabits per second through participating providers. The nbn says it allows smoother, higher-resolution video calls, enhanced streaming, faster downloads and the ability to connect more devices at once.
The nbn team will be at FoodWorks Aberdeen from 9am to 2pm today, Tuesday 13 October, to help residents and businesses understand the upgrade process. They will then be at FoodWorks Murrurundi on Wednesday 14 October and Scone Newsagency on Thursday 15 October, both from 9am to 2pm.
Residents and businesses can check their eligibility at nbn.com.au/checkregional.
