A major incident has been completed in Muswellbrook, with police, firefighters and the riot squad all attending the operation.
Negotiators had been speaking with an individual at a home on Parkinson Avenue, with the stand-off lasting for over 16 hours.
Police had been using a megaphone to speak with the resident.
