Following a string of standout performances, Muswellbrook local Joshua Fuller has earned professional status, marking the next chapter in a golfing journey that began in the region he still proudly calls home.
The 24 year old, who has worked at The Vintage Golf Club for the past seven years while building his amateur career, says achieving professional status is something he has worked towards for as long as he can remember.
“Professional status is something I’ve dreamed about for a long time and it’s incredibly rewarding to finally reach this milestone,” says Joshua.
“I’ve been fortunate to grow up surrounded by such a supportive golfing community and to now take this next step as a professional means a great deal. I’m excited for what’s ahead and grateful to everyone who has played a part in helping me
get here.”
Joshua’s transition into the professional ranks follows one of the strongest periods of his amateur career, most recently claiming the 2026 NSW Amateur Championship with a commanding 10 and 8 victory in the final after producing a nine-under-par morning round.
His amateur achievements also include winning the Tasmanian Open (2021), District Championship (2022), Tasmanian Amateur Championship (2023), finishing runner up at the Concord Cup (2025), claiming the Regional Championship (2025), a Top 5 finish at the Country Championships (2025), and reaching the semi-finals of the Queensland Amateur Championship (2025).
The milestone comes less than a year after Joshua represented The Vintage Golf Club at the 2025 Ford NSW Open, where he competed alongside Australia’s leading professionals and elite amateurs in front of family, friends and the local Hunter Valley community.
Joshua now joins a growing list of professional golfers affiliated with The Vintage Golf Club, including Corey Lamb, who is currently on the PGA Tour of Australasia.
The club will once again welcome many of the country’s leading professionals when it hosts the NSW Open in November.
