Roadworks at the intersection of Main Street and St Aubin’s Street have been rescheduled to Monday, July 6 and Tuesday, July 7, after forecast rain forced a postponement of the originally planned works.
The works were originally planned for later this week, on Thursday July 2 and Friday July 3.
The profiling and asphalting works will require the intersection to be fully closed to all traffic while underway. No vehicle access will be available through the intersection during that time, with traffic control and signage in place to direct motorists around the closure.
Detours will be available via Liverpool, Susan, Park and Kelly Streets.
Council says the works form an important part of improving the condition and longevity of Main Street, and that every effort will be made to complete them as quickly and safely as possible. The works are subject to suitable weather conditions.
Residents, businesses and visitors are thanked for their patience and cooperation during the temporary disruption.
