Motorists are being advised of changed traffic conditions on Bengalla Road at Keys Bridge, with maintenance work to be carried out this week.
Transport for NSW will undertake routine bridge maintenance and load testing to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the bridge. Work is scheduled for Friday 17 April from 8am to 4pm and is expected to be completed in one shift, weather permitting.
As part of the load testing process, the bridge will be closed for up to five minutes during equipment setup. Traffic control measures will be in place, including single‑lane closures, stop‑slow arrangements and a reduced speed limit of 40 kilometres per hour.
Motorists are advised to allow up to 15 minutes of additional travel time. Oversize and over‑mass vehicles will be escorted through the site and must stop near the work area.
Emergency services will be allowed through the bridge during the works, although short delays may occur. Transport for NSW is urging motorists to drive to conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic controllers.
