Singleton Council has accepted the resignation of General Manager Justin Fitzpatrick-Barr at an extraordinary Council meeting last night.
Mel Curtis will take on the role of Acting General Manager while an interim General Manager is recruited.
Mayor of Singleton, Cr Sue Moore said Council’s operations would continue as usual without interruption during this period.
“Our focus has always been on delivering the services and facilities our community deserves now while laying the foundations to ensure the Singleton local government area continues to prosper for generations to come, and that won’t change,” she said.
“I assure our residents and ratepayers that our Councillors, executive team and staff remain committed to creating the vibrant, resilient, progressive and sustainable community that we’re all proud to be part of—now and into the future.”
