
Roaming wild dog packs and foxes are being targeted under a bait program in the Upper Hunter electorate.
Pet owners and those with working dogs are advised that Hunter Local Land Services and Forestry Corporation are conducting aerial and ground baiting programs from Merriwa to Nundle and Nowendoc to Dungog.
The operation will continue until June 30 across private lands, State Forests, Crown Land and travelling stock reserves.
National Parks and Wildlife are conducting aerial baiting from Monday the 19th of May until
the 1st of June in Goulburn River, Wollemi and Yengo National Parks, Manobalai Nature Reserve,
and the Wollemi Flora Reserve and State Conservation Area.
Baits have also been laid in the Singleton Military Area with neighbours recommended to
keep dogs out of the area until the end of June.
Hunter Valley Operations, Ravensworth Open Cut and Mount Thorley-Warkworth are
also conducting baiting activities at the mine sites and other area’s including land at North
Rothbury, Belford, Putty, Muscle Creek, Sandy Hollow, Turill and Cassilis.
