A Muswellbrook tax agent and councillor has been banned from the profession for at least two years after being found guilty of professional misconduct.
Deputy Mayor Jennifer Lecky came under the attention of the Australian Government’s Tax Practitioners Board over the lodging of 37 tax returns for 25 clients.
The Board found Mrs Lecky failed to act with honesty and integrity after an investigation into her work.

Her de-registration means she is no longer allowed to work as an accredited tax agent.
