A wet weekend across the Upper Hunter with flooding in low-lying areas and the vast majority of sports activities called off.
A Flood Advice was issued for the Wollombi Brook at Bulga placing residents on watch since Friday afternoon.
The brook was forecast to reach a maximum height of three metres in the small community this morning.

Michaela Davey from the NSW SES said despite the downpours across the Upper Hunter crews were kept relatively quiet with only a handful of call-outs.
Some road closures remain in place and are listed on individual council social media accounts.
