The State Government has admitted it did not consult with Merriwa locals about a plan to remove parking from their main street to allow wide loads through.
ACEN Renewables want to take out the reverse parking spots along one side of Bettington Street.
In a statement from the Planning Department…a spokesperson said the proposal was put on public exhibition in October 2022 and 2023 but only advertised in a local newspaper in Mudgee.

The spokesperson said only residents within 3 kilometres of the proposed Birriwa Solar Farm near Dunedoo were notified by email.
