The figures show while new home building approvals are down by up to 13 per cent in our neck of the woods….the number and value of home renovation development applications is skyrocketing particularly in Singleton and Muswellbrook.

There has been a 185 per cent increase in Singleton and 136 per cent for Muswellbrook..
HIA Hunter Executive Director Craig Jennion said on top of this there is also a lot of reno work occurring that doesn’t require a DA.
