Motorists travelling between the Port of Newcastle and the Central West are being urged to plan ahead this week, with a wide range of road maintenance projects and increased heavy vehicle movements causing possible cumulative delays.

A number of works are underway along the Pacific, New England, Golden and Castlereagh highways. Adding to the disruption, oversize and overmass deliveries have increased along these corridors, with several movements now leaving the Port of Newcastle for the Uungula Wind Farm up to six days a week.
