Fire crews have extinguished a blaze that destroyed a caravan and farm equipment at a property on Wells Gully Road. The fire was reported just before 11:30am on Wednesday (28th January) after a neighbour spotted smoke and called triple zero.
Brigades from Edinglassie, McCullys Gap and Kyuga arrived to find a caravan, a quad bike and other machinery well alight. The fire had also spread into a nearby paddock but was quickly brought under control.
Three shipping containers on the property were also affected. Fire and Rescue NSW 208 Aberdeen was called in to enter and assess the containers to ensure the fire had not spread inside.
Crews from the RFS and Fire and Rescue NSW worked together to fully extinguish the blaze within a few hours. It is believed to have started due to an electrical issue.
