The budget-friendly wearable packs in some impressive features for the price, letting users take photos, record HD video, listen to music, answer phone calls and even access an AI assistant – all from a pair of everyday-looking glasses.

With similar smart glasses from other brands costing several hundred dollars more, it’s easy to see why bargain hunters were so keen to give them a go.

Kmart says the glasses are designed to be used responsibly and are simply part of the growing trend towards wearable technology.

For now though, the biggest problem for shoppers isn’t the debate… it’s actually finding a pair.

The AI Camera Glasses have sold out online and in stores, although many shoppers are already hoping Kmart restocks them soon.
