What is “Pluribus?” the Newest TV Show from the Mind Behind Breaking Bad

AppleTV+ might not have the most original content on its platform in comparison to other streaming services. But it makes up for it by consistently producing incredible original content with a high success. Previous shows from the streaming service include; Ted Lasso, Slow Horses, Shrinking, and Severance. The next show in its line-up to be released could be its best yet. On November 7th Apple TV+ will release a new show named ‘Pluribus’.

Why Pluribus should be on your radar if it isn’t already, is because the show comes from Vince Gilligan, the writer and creator of the Breaking Bad series and Better Call Saul series. Pluribus will star Rhea Seehorn, who’s worked with Vince Gilligan before as she played Kim Wexler in Better Call Saul. The show is set to be a sci-fi-drama combination centred around Carol Sturka, a historical romance writer who finds herself in a world ravaged by a virus that’s taken over the world. The virus however doesn’t turn people into undead nightmares, it instead makes people unbelievably happy and joyful. Sturka however seems to be the only person immune to the virus and has become the most miserable human on the planet.

Gilligan and those who’ve worked on the show have promised mind bending plot twists and mysteries from the get go. The trailers and information about the show have been deliberately vague so the viewers go in with as little as possible.
