A man has been taken to hospital after being struck by the thick metal arm dogs chase around the Muswellbrook Greyhound Racing Track.
We can reveal this morning…the incident occurred on Wednesday April 5 just before four o’clock in the afternoon.
Eyewitnesses have told the Hunter Valley Newsroom…..the man in his sixties was hurled through the air after being hit.
NSW Ambulance paramedics stabilised him on scene before taking him to Muswellbrook Hospital in a stable condition with a deep laceration to one of his arms.
Greyhound Racing New South Wales are refusing to comment.
We put a number of questions about the matter to the industry’s peak body but they have advised us they will not be engaging on anything to do with the Muswellbrook track.
