Paramedics here in the Upper Hunter are set to defy an order to abandon planned industrial action today.
Late yesterday the Industrial Relations Commission instructed members of the Australian Paramedics Association not to proceed with the ban on all non-urgent callouts.
They’re angry over the Minns Government’s refusal to honour a pre-election pay rise promise..

Union Secretary Brett Simpson said paramedics will only respond to life-threatening cases until 7 tonight.
