The railway level crossing at Turanville Road, Scone, is scheduled to be upgraded by the end of the year.

Transport for NSW says Turanville Road is one of four crossings due for completion before the end of the year, and one of 23 level crossings being upgraded across New South Wales.

The projects are funded by the Federal Government, the State Government and the Australian Rail Track Corporation. The Federal Government is contributing 160 million dollars through the Regional Level Crossing Upgrade Fund, while the State Government is providing 7.5 million dollars from its annual Level Crossing Improvement Program.
