Three face court over alleged Hunter Valley drug supply operation

Two men and a woman have been charged following a police investigation into alleged drug supply offences in the Hunter Valley.

Police began investigating drug supply in the Muswellbrook and Scone areas in July 2026. On Thursday morning, officers from the Rural Crime Prevention Team, Northern Operational Support Group, Hunter Valley Criminal Investigation and Hunter Valley Proactive Crime Team executed two search warrants at homes in Muswellbrook and Scone.

Police allege they seized approximately 1.1 kilograms of methamphetamine, 669.6 grams of cannabis, 400 dexamphetamine tablets and other prescribed restricted substances during the searches. Also allegedly located were ammunition, a slingshot, $5,200 in cash, electronics, two electric scooters, three e-bikes and two mountain bikes.

A 63-year-old man was arrested at Scone, while a 51-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man were arrested at the Muswellbrook home. All three were taken to Muswellbrook Police Station, where the older man was charged with 21 offences including nine counts of possessing a prohibited drug, five counts of possessing a prohibited weapon without a permit, and two counts of supplying a prohibited drug in a quantity greater than indictable but less than commercial.

The 23-year-old man was charged with two counts of possessing a prohibited drug and breach of bail, while the 51-year-old woman was charged with 12 offences, including supplying a prohibited drug in a quantity greater than or equal to commercial quantity and seven counts of having goods suspected of being stolen on the premises.
