The coal mining industry in the Upper Hunter has been given 11 months to get ready for a major change in industrial laws governing the use of contract workers.
The Same Job Same Pay legislation has been passed by the Federal Parliament despite a vocal campaign against it by the industry.
Federal Hunter MP Dan Repacholi said it’s time now to get on with it.
