Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions this week on the Golden Highway at Denman, west of Denman Bridge, while road resurfacing work is carried out.

Muswellbrook Shire Council will carry out the work on behalf of Transport for NSW from Wednesday, September 2 to Tuesday, September 8, between 7am and 5pm on weekdays. The work is expected to take five days to complete, weather permitting.

Traffic control, including lane closures and a work zone speed limit of 40km/h, will be in place on the Golden Highway for the safety of workers and motorists during the maintenance work. Minor delays of up to five minutes can be expected.

Oversize and over-mass vehicles can be accommodated and managed on arrival to the work area via UHF Channel 19. Vehicles travelling under a permit must not travel off their approved route unless an updated permit is obtained from the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator. Road users are advised to drive to the conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
