The NSW SES is advising people in the following areas to PREPARE TO ISOLATE due to predictions
that the Hunter River is steady with minor flooding:
Properties on parts of Windermere Road, Anambah Road, Valley Street, Durham Street and
Maitland Vale Road.
You should monitor the situation and prepare to be isolated by floodwater.
You may be trapped without power, water, and other essential services and it may be too
dangerous for NSW SES to rescue you.
The Hunter River at Maitland (Belmore Bridge) is currently steady at a peak near 7.25 metres, with
minor flooding. The Hunter River at Maitland (Belmore Bridge) is expected to remain above the
minor flood level (5.90 m) for the remainder of Wednesday.
Renewed rises are possible from Wednesday evening with forecast rainfall.
