A manhunt is underway following a terrifying armed hold-up and high-speed pursuit across the New England, Hunter Valey and Newcastle areas.
Four men stormed a hotel room at Kingswood, 10km south of Tamworth, just before 4am on Monday, threatening the occupants at gunpoint.
The group, who were all wearing face covers, fled the scene in a stolen Ford Mustang, sparking a 150km pursuit through the Muswellbrook, Newcastle and Mayfield.

The chase, which involved ground units and the police helicopter, came to an end when the Mustang crashed into a service station on Corona Street, Mayfield.
The offenders then ran off on foot.
