Two new EnergyCo reports on the Hunter Transmission Project have been released to the public through the NSW Planning Portal. The Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure will now review the Submissions Report alongside the project’s Environmental Impact Statement and Amendment Report.

A total of 188 submissions were lodged during public exhibition, including 165 from community members and 23 from government agencies. EnergyCo has provided responses to each issue raised in the Submissions Report.

The agency says several amendments and refinements to the project design have been proposed following community feedback, consultation with government and stakeholders, and further development of construction planning.

The Amendment Report outlines the potential environmental impacts associated with the proposed changes, along with measures designed to mitigate and manage those effects.
