Attending events at the Singleton Civic Centre and other Council-managed venues will now be a more enjoyable experience for people with hearing needs, thanks to the installation of new state-of-the-art hearing technology.
The hearing augmentation system provides high-quality, low-latency audio directly to compatible hearing aids, implants, earbuds, headphones and smartphones. Headsets are also available for people without their own devices, ensuring everyone can access the improved sound experience.
Funded under the former NSW Nationals and Liberals Government’s Resources for Regions grant program, the initiative is part of the Singleton Access + Inclusion Program, which focuses on removing barriers to participation across local facilities and events.
Singleton Council says the upgrade reflects its ongoing commitment to making Singleton a community where everyone can connect, participate and belong — ensuring local events, meetings and workshops are welcoming and accessible for all residents.
