Another big renewable energy project has been confirmed for the Upper Hunter.
AGL announced they will proceed with a planned $750-million battery storage facility at Liddell after completing a feasibility study on the move.
Construction will get underway in the new year with completion expected in mid-2026.

AGL said it will be the first part of their plans to transform the Liddell and Bayswater sites into the Hunter Energy Hub over the next 10 years.
