An Upper Hunter farmer fears how much drier the region will become once Summer is in full swing.
Rolanda Clout-Collins is a beef and sheep farmer at Kars Springs, northwest of Scone.
She is one of many primary producers waiting for the State Government to officially declare the Upper Hunter in drought to activate financial assistance.

“We’re hand-feeding the majority of our stock, which is not ideal heading into Summer, especially if the drought conditions do continue,” she said.
