Increase in DV assaults noticed on the frontline

The head of a local support provider for victims of violent crimes said she has definately noticed an increase in the number victims coming through their doors.

The latest crime stats show Muswellbrook having the fifth-highest rate of sexual assault in the state.

The number of domestic and family assaults have also risen by 49-point-6 percent in the past two years.
