A man has been refused bail in a Sydney court accused of murdering his Hunter Valley house mate.
34 year old Joshua David Wright is alleged to have shot dead John Simpson before dumping his body in a shallow grave on their remote rental property at Laguna.
He was extradited from Victoria after being arrested by the state’s fugitive squad more than three months after Mr Simpson was last seen.

Wright has been charged with murder and possessing an unauthorised firearm.
