The Hunter River at Singleton is rising, with a current flood warning in place advising it may reach the minor flood level of 10m into Thursday morning.
The SES say they are actively monitoring the situation.
The BOM is also warning the MAJOR FLOODING may develop along the Wollombi Brook at Bulga, which is not expected to affect residents however the SES will issue updates as the situation evolves.
Remember to never drive through flood waters, it’s not safe even if it’s shallow!
This is an unpredictable weather event, and rain is forecast locally today and tomorrow with neighboring areas predicted to see rainfall for multiple days.
Several local roads and causeways are already cut, with some communities isolated.
