A Hunter‑owned and operated building business has been recognised on the national stage at the 2026 HIA Australian Housing Awards.
Scone‑based Mable Projects was named HIA Australian Start‑up Business of the Year, with the awards announced on the Gold Coast on Friday 18 April. The company was recognised for its ethical approach and high‑quality construction work across rural and regional communities.
Judges praised the business for its strong leadership, robust systems and client‑first culture, noting its rapid and well‑managed growth driven by innovation and continuous improvement.
Mable Projects also received a highly commended award in the HIA Australian Emerging Builder category, which recognises recently established residential builders who demonstrate strong performance and future potential.
