

Transgrid will be in the air this week across the Hunter as part of their annual bushfire prevention program.
A helicopter will be inspecting high-voltage electricity transmission lines to identify any potential risks and ensure the safe operation of the network in the lead-up to summer.
The safe-guarding mission has teams cover up to 450km’s of transmission line’s a day, inspecting around 110 transmission towers.

Weather permitting, Transgrid will be flying over the following areas from June 12-17.
- Central Coast: Colongra (Munmorah), Eraring, Manngering Park (Vales Point), Tuggerah
- Greater Hunter: Killingworth, Liddell, McCully Gap, Muswellbrook, Seaham (Brandy Hill),
Tomago, and Waratah West - Mid North Coast: Stroud, Port Macquarie and Taree
