Flood Watch for Bulga and Wollombi

The NSW SES is reminding people not to enter floodwater, with current minor to major flooding in Bulga and Wollombi.

We are advised to monitor the situation as it is constantly changing.

The Bureau of Meteorology says Wollombi Brook at Wollombi peaked at 6.21 metres at 6pm yesterday, and is currently about 5.53 metres and falling, below the minor flood level of 6.70 metres. 

It is expected to remain below the minor flood level today. 

The Wollombi Brook at Bulga is currently at 3.15 metres and rising, with minor flooding.  

It could reach the major flood level of 4.60 metres today. 

Low lying areas of Bulga and Wollombi are expected to be impacted by flood waters.

People in low lying areas of Muswellbrook are also advised to monitor conditions on the Hunter River.
