The Electricity and Water Ombudsman of NSW will have its Renewable Energy Infrastructure Team on the ground at the Upper Hunter Show in Muswellbrook this Friday. The visit aims to give residents the opportunity to discuss concerns about renewable energy infrastructure and learn more about EWON’s expanded complaint-handling service.
The Muswellbrook session follows the release of EWON’s first Impact Report, outlining its initial 12 months of managing complaints and engaging with communities about large-scale renewable projects. The report highlights a growing need for clear information and support as renewable energy development accelerates across regional NSW.
EWON staff will also be available to help residents understand their electricity and gas bills, offer advice on saving energy and explain available concessions and rebates. Locals are encouraged to bring recent power bills to receive tailored guidance.
The team will be at the Muswellbrook Showground from 9am on Friday 20 March.
