Deceased ‘Singleton Roosters Legends’ honoured

The husband of a woman tragically killed in the Greta Bus Crash three months ago says he still waits for her to walk through the door every night.

Banger McBride lost his wife Nadene and daughter Kyah in the incident on the June Long Weekend.

Last night ‘Nads’ was posthumously named the 2023 AFLW Community Ambassador for New South Wales and the ACT.

The Player of the Match award at women’s representative games from now also to be named in her honour.

The men’s award is also to be named after her clubmate Andrew Scott, who also tragically passed away in the crash with his wife, Lynan.

Banger thanked everyone from the footy world who has offered support at such a difficult time.

The Singleton Roosters were also presented with the inaugural Community Spirit Award.
