Motorists are being warned of changed traffic conditions on the New England Highway near Blandford, with survey work now underway to investigate future improvements to the road.
The work began on Monday and will continue until Saturday 3 October, running in day shifts between 6:30am and 6:30pm, weather and worksite conditions permitting. No work will take place on Sunday.
Temporary shoulder closures, traffic control and reduced speed limits are in place on the New England Highway between Timor Road and White Street, Blandford, for the safety of workers and motorists. The speed limit has been reduced from 70km/h to 60km/h, dropping further to 40km/h through the work area.
Temporary lane closures may also be required at times, which could affect oversize and overmass vehicle movements through the site. Transport for NSW says oversize and overmass drivers should use UHF channel 70 as they approach the work zone.
