Confirmation that on-the-ground work is close to starting on rebuilding the Merriwa to Willow Tree road.
The contract for the $50-million-dollar project was signed just before Christmas last year.
In response to a question from the Hunter Valley Newsroom…Upper Hunter Shire Council said it anticipates activities on the ground will commence in a few weeks.

The road has been closed since a section, previously repaired by the council, collapsed over three years ago.
