Broke recreation facilities get $750k upgrade

Works upgrading recreation facilities in Broke are expected to be completed before the end of June.

That’s the word from Singleton Council as contractors start reconstructing three deteriorated asphalt tennis courts, amenities, and flood lights on the site.

The area was inundated with floodwater during the local disaster in July 2022.

Mayor Sue Moore said having facilities in the village is essential for local residents and will be ready well ahead of planned Bicentennial celebrations later this year.
