Upper Hunter Shire Council has confirmed the Boil Water Alert for Scone has been lifted, following the latest water quality test results and consultation with NSW Health.
Residents in Scone can once again use tap water for drinking and food preparation without the need to boil it. Council said water quality will continue to be closely monitored to ensure the supply remains safe.
Murrurundi, however, remains under a Boil Water Alert until further notice. Subject to water quality results, Council expects this restriction may be lifted within the next week.
Aberdeen was not affected by the alert during this period and its water has remained safe for consumption.
Council thanked the community for its patience and cooperation, adding it remains committed to working with available resources to provide a safe and reliable water supply across the region.
