Racing NSW Stablehand Job Ready Program – Scone

Interested in working with horses and starting a career in the thoroughbred racing industry?

Racing NSW has just 3 places remaining in its next Stablehand Job Ready Program, commencing 7 September 2026 in Scone.

This free three-week program is suitable for school leavers, career changers, and anyone interested in working with horses. No previous racing stable experience is required.

The program includes:

• Two weeks of practical training at the Team Thoroughbred Training Academy, Scone
• One week of work placement with a local racing trainer
• Training in horse handling, stable routines, workplace safety, and industry expectations

Suitable participants may have the opportunity to progress into paid employment following the program.
