Scone Films Presents Penguin Lessons
PENGUIN LESSONS M
7pm – FRIDAY 30th MAY – 7pm
Drama/Comedy starring two-time Oscar nominee Steve Coogan
This poignant drama/comedy explores an Englishman’s personal and political awakening, after he adopts a penguin during a cataclysmic period in Argentina’s history. Based on the true story of an Englishman who went to work in a private school in Argentina in 1976, expecting an easy ride. Instead he discovered a divided nation and a class of unteachable students. However, after he rescued a penguin from an oil-slicked beach, his life was turned upside-down. This uplifting story about mutual human-animal healing is full of wit, warmth and humour, counterintuitive discoveries and cute penguin antics.
From the Director of The Full Monty, and the Writer of Philomena.
