The NSW SES has reissued a call for people in Dungog to EVACUATE due to hazardous flooding.
Properties on parts of Windeyer Street, Crolls Mill Lane, Hooke Street, Abelard Street, Lord
Street and Brown Street, Allison Court Retirement Village, Brown Street.
They’re asking people to evacuate now because floodwaters are impacting the area and it may become too dangerous for the SES to rescue you.
You should evacuate to stay with family, friends, or alternate accommodation in areas unaffected
by flooding.
If you are unable to find accommodation, Evacuation centres have been set up at:
Dungog Memorial RSL Club, 96 Lord St, Dungog NSW 2420.
The Williams River at Dungog is currently at 6.94 metres and falling, with minor flooding. The
Williams River at Dungog is likely to remain above the minor flood level (4.90 m) for the remainder
of Wednesday into Thursday. Renewed rises are possible from Wednesday evening with forecast rainfall.
This warning was first issued on 19 May 2025. This warning is being updated to reflect the current
Bureau of Meteorology forecast.
This event may change quickly. NSW SES will monitor the situation and update warnings if the
situation changes.
