Stay off the road is the message from the N.S.W State Emergency Service as the water continues to rise across the region.
In their most recent update, the S.E.S has responded to more than 20 flood rescues across the Hunter and Central Coast as the rain piles up.
Williamtown near Newcastle saw more than 100 mil of rain today, marking its highest daily rainfall in May on record whilst Cessnock received 49mil.
There’s currently a minor to moderate flood warning in place; however, the S.E.S is warning that could change to possible major flooding across parts of the Mid North Coast and Hunter tomorrow.
The deluge is causing chaos on the roads, with road closures cropping up across the board. Live traffic is your go to for up to minute information.
