Bad news, Mimi fans. Mariah Carey’s upcoming #1s Australian tour has been postponed due to a “necessary realignment” of her international engagements in 2018. Originally slated for February 2018, the tour has rescheduled for October 2018 with some significant changes being made to the schedule.
First of all, the bad news (if you live in Perth). Mariah’s Perth show has been completed removed from her itinerary. Ticketholders to this show will be refunded in full.
The good news is that the Sydney and Melbourne shows have been moved into larger, indoor facilities. In Sydney, the show has been moved from the outdoor Parramatta Park to the indoor Qudos Bank Arena. A similar venue change has been made in Melbourne, with the performance moving from Melbourne Showgrounds to Rod Laver Arena.
Tour promoter, Scott Mesiti, has promised the revised dates will be even bigger and better than originally anticipated.
“It’s always unfortunate when these situations occur and we regret any inconvenience the rescheduling has caused for fans. We’re very excited that we’ve been able to find suitable time for Mariah’s return to ensure fans don’t miss out on what is sure to be a spectacular show from one of the music world’s biggest music icons.”
Mimi’s new tour dates are as follows:
- Wednesday October 10th – Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne VIC
- Friday October 12th – Qudos Bank Arena, Sydney NSW
- Sunday October 14th – Sandstone Point, Brisbane QLD
New tickets for the rescheduled shows will go on sale Thursday, February 1st.
And Mimi, please make sure you actually keep these dates.
