For some reason Nickelback continues to be one of the most polarising bands in history..despite the fact they've sold over 50 million albums worldwide and are clearly extremely popular.
While it should come as no surprise that Democrats and Republicans in the US couldn't agree on something, it's incredibly amusing to think the popularity of the Canadian band was something hotly debated on the floor or the U.S House!
Senator Mark Pocan, a democrat from Wisconsin, was making a point about a revision that was to be made on a census survery, noting that only 4 of 77,000 people who commented on it wanted to keep it, which he said "was about the same percentage of people who think Nickelback is their favourite band".
Well that didn't sit too well with Rodney Davis, a Republican from Illionois, who defended the musical veterans as "one of the best bands of the 90's" and that he "has Nickelback songs on his running playlist".
Check out the hilarious "argument" below!
Rodney Davis actually kept talking about his love of Nickelback for another 40 seconds or so when it was his turn to speak again. pic.twitter.com/PQQERt9d6S— Adam Smith (@asmith83) March 7, 2019
Who side are you on? Democrat or Republicans?
