EA has released the official single-player campaign trailer for what many are dubbing the new "X-Wing Vs Tie Fighter".
“Star Wars: Squadrons” will arrive on October 2nd. Set after the destruction of the Death Star in “Return of the Jedi,” the game lets you play as combat pilots for both the Empire and the New Republic. As the story progresses you'll find yourself playing for both factions so that you get a great chance to use the multiple weapons and ships that each have at their disposal.
We'll also get to play in two multiplayer modes as "Squadrons: Dogfights", which is an all-out 5v5 battle, and the epic "Fleet Battle" which will be team based and looks quite chaotic.
This isn't the only Star Wars trailer released today either, we also get a full game play trailer for “LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga” which isn't out until 2021.
You'll be able to play in the sandbox of all nine of the Skywalker Saga episodes instead of just chronological order, each episode features five missions for a total of 45 levels and nearly 500 characters.
Combat has been re-imagined from previous Lego Star Wars games so that using a lightsaber wielders has a lot more variety.
