Two Thomastown service stations were allegedly robbed early on Wednesday, with one attendant assaulted and another forced to hide in a back room. A third shop was robbed at Laverton North on Monday.

Two boys, aged 16 and 17, have been charged with offences including armed robbery, theft and motor vehicle theft.

Another 16-year-old is charged with false imprisonment and assault, and all three are set to face an out-of-sessions court hearing.
