Smoke from the NSW bushfires has made conditions in Canberra toxic and dangerous for athletes to train so the ACT Brumbies have shifted their training base to the University of Newcastle for a 10-day camp.
With the Super Rugby competition to begin at the end of this month, coaching staff made the decision to relocate to keep the players preparations on track.
With elite level rugby players in the Hunter it's an opportunity for junior players to train with them and improve their skills with a proposed open session planned for tomorrow.
