Every time in January when a greyhound wearing the one rug or the five rug wins an event on a NSW TAB track, Greyhound Racing NSW will donate $100 to the bushfire appeal.And every time in January when a greyhound wearing the one rug or the five rug wins an event on a NSW TAB track, Greyhound Racing NSW will donate $100 to the bushfire appeal.

The significance of the two numbers is simply that the one and the five carry the red and yellow rugs respectively, colours synonymous with the fire fighters of Rural Fire Service.

There will be more than 70 TAB meetings and around 800 races held through January and Greyhound Racing NSW is hopeful the numbers one and five feature prominently in all races at each of those meetings across NSW.
